We collect account and contact details, profile settings, device and session information, subscription and payment references, voucher activity, viewing history, searches, playback diagnostics, advertising interactions and communications you send to us. Payment credentials may be processed directly by the selected payment provider rather than stored by SimpluxFlix.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide and secure accounts, authorize streams, enforce device and entitlement limits, process subscriptions and vouchers, remember progress, personalize recommendations, deliver and measure advertising, respond to support requests, prevent abuse and improve service reliability.
3. Sharing and service providers
Information may be shared with infrastructure, storage, email, payment, analytics, advertising and customer-support providers only as needed to operate the service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the platform, or as part of a legitimate business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
4. Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as necessary for service delivery, security, accounting, dispute resolution and legal obligations. We use access controls, encrypted secrets, protected sessions, audit records and other technical and organizational safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
5. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, restriction of, objection to, portability of or deletion of personal data. You can manage profiles, devices and viewing history within your account. Requests may require identity verification, and some records may need to be retained for legal or security reasons.
6. Children and profiles
Kids profiles are designed to restrict content exposure. Account holders remain responsible for creating and supervising profiles used by children and for ensuring they have authority to provide any related information.
7. Kenya data-protection framework
Where applicable, personal data is handled under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019 and associated regulations. You may also have the right to raise a concern with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
